Am*zon Wishlist

Our doula care and companionship is volunteer-based. Support our doulas by directly donating supplies through this wishlist. If you are interested in making a monetary donation, please email us.

Book Club

This summer, we are hosting a book club: All Doulas Should be Abolitionist! Sign up by May 25th to join us this summer.

Advisory Board

Our advisory board is composed of individuals that have had abortions and/or have been impacted by the prison industrial complex. This group meets quarterly to discuss TDC operations. Note: this role is not presently compensated, but we aim to have it be in the future.

Doula support group

Our support group is an informal gathering of abortion doulas to have a place for companionship and support. This is not a clinically-based mental health support group, but we believe that community is important in addition to formal mental health support.

TDC was formulated because there is a gap in doula care and abortion care for people that are incarcerated. Learn what abortion access and care is like in the US carceral system and reproductive health overall:

Reproductive Health Care for Incarcerated Individuals

What Dobbs Means for Incarcerated People.

What the end of Roe Means for People on Probation and Parole.

Reproductive Choice in Prisons and Jails.

Abortion Access for Incarcerated People in the US.

We believe that doula practice is based in the same values of community, autonomy, relational and emotional wellness, and community-based supports that underly the reproductive justice framework and the abolitionist movement. Thus, doulas are a critical part of the fight for reproductive rights and abolition beyond the literal provision of care.
